I am Bernard Lawrence, a Jamaican-born mixed-media artist.

My practice explores identity through the lens of my Indigenous and Black heritage, examining the history and cultural dynamics that frame our current world. Using a variety of surfaces, scales, and media, I ground my work in factual historical research and multi-faceted perspectives. Ultimately, I aim to challenge societal assumptions, inviting viewers to question how they see others and themselves to cultivate meaningful self-reflection.
